Dear friends and partners,
As we take time to gather in the company of family, friends, and loved ones, I want to share my thankfulness for all of you working together to improve public schools for our kids.
We are dealing with a lot of loss right now, with wildfires raging across our state and a barrage of senseless gun violence. But we also have a lot to be thankful for. Heroic first responders are tirelessly battling the blazes as volunteers and donations pour in to help those affected. Some of our schools are even serving as emergency shelters for evacuees. We elected several new leaders committed to common-sense gun control. We are resilient.
And throughout it all, tiny miracles happen every day in our classrooms. Thank you to all the students, parents, teachers, employees, and community partners who makes these daily miracles possible. I am grateful for the chance to serve alongside you!
