The Kids First Newsletter:
May 16, 2019
Dear friends and partners,

June is just around the corner—which means the end of another school year, graduation ceremonies, and the special election for Measure EE on June 4th!

The school year may be coming an end, but we will continue to advocate every day for the funding and resources our students need—at the local, state, and federal level. S
ince taking office, we have funded $119,587,404 in projects to directly benefit schools in my district.

But we know our kids deserve more. That's why I voted to put Measure EE on the ballot, with the hope of generating up to $500M a year for our schools. And it's why I insisted on a strong, independent oversight plan to ensure that these funds go directly to providing the resources our kids need to succeed.
