It’s a new year of learning and progress in L.A. Unified, and I am thrilled to be back in schools, meeting with parents, school staff, and stakeholders, and working on new policies to move the ball forward for kids!
As the chair of our district’s new Continuous Improvement Data Committee, I’m looking forward to using data to make informed decisions, boost achievement, and increase transparency—with the urgency our students need.
The LA Times recently described me as “pushing for more rapid change”—I know that our district is capable of preparing all our students for college and career success, but we must act boldly to get there. I will proudly keep advocating for the student-centered reform necessary for our kids to succeed.
