Everyone needs a moment to recharge. I just took a quick trip to Vail with my sister and sister-in-law and the three of us spent hours talking about everything, from what worries us to how we can bring more fun into our lives. We tried some new healthy-ish cocktails, read books, and simply had a chance to unwind. It was such a treat to disconnect from obligations and responsibilities and spend quality girl time together.

We also had an amazing yoga teacher who talked about self-love and how we are so quick to be critical of ourselves. She sensed from us that we are all really good at giving and how important it is to be graceful receivers. I want to get better at that!

This experience helped me get back to work with renewed strength, focus, and energy. I hope you, too, can find the opportunity to take a breath this summer.

TIP / Get Comfortable with Saying "No"

The lazy days of summer can feel anything but lazy. Between work, social events, prepping for vacation, catching up after vacation, and covering for other people on vacation, your calendar needs a break. Girls Night In gathered a panel of experts to share their strategies for learning to Just Say No.
