2020 FREYBERG COMMUNITY SCHOOL FUN RUN

We’re holding a Freyberg Community School Fun Run as a major fundraising event this year!  This will be held on Friday 4th September. All of the funds that we are able to raise will go towards making our outdoor spaces more exciting and engaging for our learners!

We sent home a sponsorship form and parent letter with all of our learners last Friday. Once you have the form, you can sign up for a Student Profile Page at schoolfunrun.co.nz. You’ll be able to access online fundraising and can win a $20,000 Ultimate Family Experience!  If this is not possible please contact the school office for more advice on how you and your child can still take part.

Students who raise $10 or more will receive a prize, and the more money you raise - the better the prize, and the more you help the school!

We’re looking for all students to participate and we’re organising a great day for our community, so we’d love everyone to come down to support the kids.

If you have any questions about the Fun Run please contact the School Fun Run Office on 0800 377 170.

Thanks for supporting the school and we hope to see you at the event!

Last week our Year 5 students attended a Cycle Wise programme here at school.

This was an awesome opportunity for students to to brush up/learn new bike skills under the guidance of fantastic staff who joined us for the week.

It was great to see students confident (after a few nerves) and enjoying the cycling! What a great skill to learn!

School Uniform

With winter now upon us we would like to remind all students that it's more than ok to wear a plain black beanie for added warmth while here at school.  We do appreciate however that students do not wear beanies that are monogramed or of any other colour other plain black.  Plain black complements our uniform and does not distract from the overall appearance.  Thank you in advance for your co-operation.

Missing - Prior to Lockdown
2 x near new polar fleece jackets clearly named  Lateisha Parata and Patress Ulugia.

We are asking all parents to check their children's uniforms to ensure that your child has their correct jacket. We are more than happy to assist with renaming any items with our black permanent markers if needed.   Any uniform items  taken home in error can be returned to the school office when we return next term.

Welcome back to our Community Education Classes!

Our Community Education classes are all back up and running from the beginning of this term.  If you are wishing your child to join an after school class, please pick up a Community Education book to see what classes are offered. Books are available from the school office or the Community Education office next to Room 2.  Alternatively, give Linda a ring on 8374138 if you would like more information.
