IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Upcoming Teacher Only Day

We have a teacher only day coming up on Monday March the 21st. The staff will be using this to develop our Freyberg learning progressions and to learn how to use Hero - our new online student management system which will also be our be learning and reporting tool from Term 2. We appreciate your support in advance!
CHECK OUT OUR NEW SIGNS!

With our logo having been updated - so have our signs!
Have a look at the new road signs, building sign and our fancy new neon sign in the office.
Just a friendly reminder that if you need to come on site to accompany a brand new entrant to their classroom or to take a child to preschool, we do require you to be correctly wearing a mask at all times, scanning in with the COVID-19 contact tracing app and physically distancing yourself from others.

Now that our February new entrant students have settled in happily, we will be encouraging parents to farewell them at the gate to ensure we continue to limit the number of visitors we have onsite - as our new March intake will be starting school with us next week.

Thank you for helping us to keep our students and staff safe and healthy!
...to the following students who are celebrating a birthday this week:

Conor G (6)
Zahra N (9)
Arian B (6)
Archie T (6)
Isaac S (10)
Charlotte S (7)
Mersiha A (9)
Sophie B (7)
Madisyn B (6)

...we hope you had/have a wonderful day celebrating with friends and family!
A friendly reminder for all our Freyberg Whānau:

What do I do if my child is unwell?

If your child is unwell in any way, please keep them home from school and contact Health line directly on 0800 611 116 for further guidance.

We will continue to operate under a 'zero tolerance' policy for any sickness and will send any learners or staff home immediately if they display any COVID-19 symptoms.

Thank you in advance for your co-operation in this matter.
Please keep collecting your Yummy Apple stickers and coupons from Yummy Fruit and their bags (bought at Pak 'n' Save, New World and Four Square).

We are able to trade these for FREE SPORTS GEAR!

Just stick them onto any piece of paper, send them to school and we can attach them to a collection sheet in your child's classroom.

Thank you in advance for any support you are able to give.

School Hats Missing

Please check that your child's school hat is clearly named.

Office staff are more than happy
to assist with  renaming hats
that are no longer clear to read.

We have many students stating that hats have been misplaced during the day.

If your child has taken someone else's hat home in error please get them to pop it into the school office where it will be returned to the rightful owner.
Freyberg School Uniform

The school expects students to take pride in their uniform and wear it correctly at all times.  If students are not in the correct uniform they are required to have a note from home explaining the reason and this must be handed to the school office prior to the start of school on the day concerned.  T-shirts, singlets and other garments worn for extra warmth must not be visible.

Please ensure that all uniform items are clearly named.  It certainly makes the return of misplaced items much easier and less stressful on children and staff alike. Please note that it is compulsary for all students to be wearing the school uniform.

School shoes / sandals / jandals are to be black only.
