About this time last year, Vintage House was fielding phone calls from seniors who were scared. Coronavirus had changed our world. Some couldn’t leave the house to get prescriptions. Some couldn’t drive to the store to get groceries and were almost out of essentials. Others were feeling cut off from the connections they’d made here at Vintage House over meals and card games and in yoga classes.
And that’s when our community stepped in to help.
Vintage House was able to transform many of our programs at the outset of the pandemic to keep seniors sheltered safely at home. We boxed up meals and soups, dropped off bags of groceries, and called isolated seniors.
Now, one year later, the need for these vital services persists.
We’re still boxing up meals and soups, dropping off bags of groceries, and calling isolated seniors every week. And as vaccinations for COVID-19 ramp up in our community, Vintage House is bridging the technological divide to help seniors access online vaccination appointment sites and providing rides at no cost to drive-thru clinics.
And now we’re turning to you for help.
Even a small gift from you helps give immediate access to these vital services to our most vulnerable elders.
