Drumming Circle

with Tony and Bill on the Patio

Building Wellness and Community Through Music

Come join us at the Vintage House Patio for a Sunset Drumming Circle!

Do you wish you could experience more of those joyful, stress-releasing, feel-good moments of flowing along with the music? Perhaps you wish you had learned to play a musical instrument but never did?

Drumming is an activity anyone can do and enjoy listening to — no musical experience is required, and you don’t even need a drum to do it! AND, it’s been known since ancient times that drumming heals and harmonizes the body, mind, and spirit. Drumming can decrease stress, induce deep relaxation, help you release negative feelings, ground you in the moment, and boost your immunity.

Social distance protocols will be observed, all participants will be required to wear a mask and sign the Vintage House Questionnaire and Liability Waiver before event.
Wednesday, November 4 • 4:00 to 5:00
Member $25.00 / Non-member $50.00

Learn to Draw With An Artist's Eye II

with Jaye Hays in Stone Hall

The factor that determines the ability to draw is the ability to see.

Whether or not you participated in the first session of Learn to Draw With An Artist’s Eye, this session will quickly bring you up to speed with how to shift to a more spatial, global way of processing visual information, or right-brain thinking and seeing. We will then dive a little deeper into our toolbox of skills to enhance your drawings and to solve some of the visual problems you may encounter in your work.
Over the course of six weeks, we will take contour drawing to the next step of sketching and on to final drawings. Shading techniques will be expanded into value and highlights. We will also look more closely at perspective, the use of grids in drawing, and the elements of negative space and composition.
Get ready to relax into the pleasures of drawing with an artist’s eye.

All participants will be required to wear a mask and sign the Vintage House Questionnaire and Liability Waiver before each class.
Wednesdays, November 4 through December 16 • 10:30 to 11:30
No Class on Veterans Day, Wednesday November 11

Member $60.00 / Non-member $120.00
