Now recruiting: Speakers for CrossReach

As news about the amazing work CrossReach does across Scotland spreads, more and more people want to hear more about us.
This is why we urgently need more people like you who are prepared and able to speak to Guilds, at Church services and groups, and other organisations, telling them the good news of what CrossReach, as the Social Care Council of the Church of Scotland, are doing.
Please phone Rebecca on 0131 454 4391 or email her to find out more and discuss how you can be a CrossReach Volunteer Speaker.
Full support and expenses available.

Walk / abseil / zip / jump / run on, and you'll never walk / abseil etc. alone...

Thanks to everyone who walked, zip wired, abseiled, ran, parachuted and generally did things they wouldn't normally do this past year, so that other people can receive the loving care they need. You are all magnificent!

If you missed out on this year's events and think "I wish I'd done that" or, if you enjoyed it so much this year you want to do it again, then look out for the 2020 diary of events coming out soon!

Contact Rebecca for more information.

Polmont Prison Visitors Centre Family Hub
CrossReach's Polmont Prison Visitors Centre Family Hub has recently moved from the bus we had parked outside the gates of HMP & HMYOI Polmont, to within the Prison itself. While moving has involved some challenges, it has also opened up some great possibilities.
One particular success has been compiling and publishing
"Your Local Travel Guide".
Following up on feedback from prisoners and their families that they needed support finding their way around the area around the Prison, CrossReach produced the Travel Guide in partnership with the prisoners and their families.
The Travel Guide includes a map of the Prison area and information on buses and trains to and from the Prison. It also includes information about ‘The Cross’ coffee shop, which offers released prisoners and visitors a free hot drink and cake on route to the train station or bus stop.
Supplies of the Travel Guide are displayed at the Prison front desk and are available for prisoners to pick up on their release. So far, the travel guide has been enthusiastically received.

It's good to talk...
There's only limited space here to let you know of the transformations you and CrossReach, together, are making in Scotland, and the opportunities to do more.
We would love to come and talk to your Church, Guild or
other group
to let you know more about the exciting, life changing, differences being made, and how you can be part of it.
Phone us now on 0131 454 4374 or email supporters@crossreach.org.uk and let's agree a date to talk.
