Exhibition dates: October 23 – December 5, 2021

Join us for a virtual artists’ talk with a selection of artists featured in this hybrid exhibition. All works will be featured online at beginning October 22, 2021. Most artist books, book objects, and a few other works are also exhibited at Swarthmore’s McCabe Library.

Book Paper Scissors
Join us for a fully virtual Book Paper Scissors December 4-11, 2021! Philadelphia Center for the Book Members and local nonprofit arts organizations can exhibit for free on our online vendors page. Exhibitors will also be promoted across our Facebook and Instagram accounts. The deadline to apply is November 12,2021. Submit via our Google Form here:

Information needed:
  • Artist or business name
  • Brief description (100 characters or less)
  • 1 to 2 images formatted to 1080 x 1350px
  • Social media handles
  • URL to your e-commerce site, website, or your preferred social media page. (Please note: Philadelphia Center for the Book is not responsible for any sales. All sales must be handled directly by the member artist or member organization.)
All submissions are subject to approval - please keep submissions limited to your book, paper, or print based work as a PCB member. All virtual exhibitors must be current PCB members.

Call for Workshop Propsals
PCB Call for Workshop Proposals
Deadline: November 19, 2021

Philadelphia Center for the Book (PCB) and the Art Department of the Free Library of Philadelphia (FLP) are looking for artists to give virtual book or paper workshops. These workshops will be held over Zoom, with the dates to scheduled. Visit our website for more information.

Artists' Working Group
The Artists' Working Group has successfully been meeting over Zoom! Our next meeting will be Sunday, December 5, at 1PM. Due to the enthusiastic response, we will have a maximum of 7 presenters, but welcome those who wish to join us to provide feedback to the artists and give a brief update on their own projects.
