Kia Ora from Eastwest College

Kia ora, friends. Can you believe it's March already—only three weeks left of the term!

We've had a awesome time getting to know our first-year students, and with a large second-year cohort the campus is brimming with life. Our Student Council has done a great job organising events (including a wonderful in-house table tennis competition!) and the dining hall has been a great place for conversation and community.

Last week, we had a Prayer Day
organised by our Intercessory Prayer team—a regular on our timetable—that was focused on praying for specific nations around the world. Following that, some of our staff attended an Indigigenous theological symposium, listening to some thought-provoking discussions relating specifically to the context in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

We're on a continuing haerenga (journey) here at Eastwest, committed to learning and growing.

Praying for you,

The Eastwest Team

New Merchandise Shop

We're excited to now have our own Eastwest College Merchandise Shop online! We have partnered with a New Zealand business (who handle all aspects of the logistics and finances—we simply came up with the designs and digital shopfront) and are happy to offer quality Eastwest College branded clothing and products for our alumni and friends. Please note that we make no profit whatsoever. Click on the button below to visit the shop.

College Life

Here are some recent photos of college life—from our first-year student retreat near Lake Karāpiro, to Balloons Over Waikato, faculty meeting with staff members, to pancakes at the the Principals' house. Life is certainly buzzing here on college and we are incredibly thankful for our staff and students, who not only have a heart for missions, but who have a heart for loving people.

Prospectus 2021

Here's our Prospectus for 2021. Orientation for Semester B starts July 20th and we still have spaces available. If you know people who are passionate about the Lord and have a heart for missions, please send this link to them to check out 👍 ⬇️ We have sent out physical copies to churches and agencies all around the nation so a huge thanks to those who are displaying our material in your foyers.

Block Courses

We have lots of Block Courses coming up this year! Most of these courses form components of the overall Diploma, and are therefore compulsory for full-time students. But we also offer these Block Courses (most are a week long) to members of the public. It's a great way to get a taste of life at Eastwest, learn something new, and make some new friends :)

Lastly, we reflect on Jesus—in His name the nations will put their hope. As we go about our daily life at a missions-training college, we don't lose sight of our why. We do what we do because of Jesus. He truly is the hope of the nations—every nation, far and near. We wish you a great Easter break, and look forward to a special time of rest and reflection.

Ngā mihi nui,
The Eastwest College team
