I hope you've had a good summer. I have been quite busy in the garden, with clients and with my family. I even managed to make it to the beach a few times.
This year has seen a proliferation of elderberry, skullcap, blue vervain and calendula in the garden. To be honest, to me this says "more stressful times ahead, here are some plants to help you out". Elderberry, of course, is great help to ward off viruses that effect the upper respiratory tract. Calendula is both a mild immune stimulant and lymph mover, helping to clear junk out of the lymph system. Calendula is also one of those yellowy-orange herbs that "brings in the sun" and can help with the dark season blues.
Skullcap and blue vervain are two nervine herbs. Nervines help our nervous systems deal with stress. Skullcap tea is especially good at relieving muscular tension and promoting deep sleep. Blue vervain is an excellent helper for people who feel compelled to keep going, even though they are overwhelmed. Vervain people often keep stress in their necks and shoulders. I combine tinctures of these two herbs and take very small doses (5 drops or so) when things in my life get "squished": when I've had so many things to juggle that I really wished their could be two of me.
As the seasons turn to Samhain, I am opening up a shamanic apprenticeship group. This group will be covering basic skills (discernment, grounding, protection and clearing), shamanic journeying to the various realms, working with guides, question formulation, working with different beings, doing ritual and ceremony as well as the opportunity to explore different topics. Meetings will be online via Zoom twice a month with opportunities for in person ceremony for local participants. You can find more information on my website: https://www.eldergroveshamanichealing.com/classes-and-workshops
Group size is limited to 6 students. I currently have three people interested, so if this is something you are interested in, let me know ASAP by replying to this email with your full name, age, location and why you are interested in joining this group.
I'm also currently re-shaping my ReWeaving program. Updates soon on that.
A few people have asked me if I am seeing in-person clients. Currently, I am not. I am continuing to do distance work on a sliding scale.
If you are interested in session, reply to this email with availability and I'll see when I can get you on my schedule.
Peace, love and roses,
Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the infinite peace to you.
