In some communities across the Communities In Schools (CIS) of Mid-America network, school buildings are now opening for students to resume in-classroom learning for the first time in more than a year.
But whether they are learning in the building or at home, students need a boost to go beyond the challenges of this past year and finish the school year strong so they can graduate or reach the next grade.
That is why this year’s Giving Day couldn’t come at a better time.
Will you support us this Giving Day, so we can help all the kids relying on CIS of Mid-America overcome the barriers in their path and end the year strong?
Below are four actions you can take right now to help make Giving Day a big success and empower kids to go beyond their personal challenges and stay on track:
Because of friends like you, kids across our network are getting connected to food, housing, health care, and counseling—resources that pave a path toward graduation, college or career, and a life full of possibilities.
But more work is needed to reach all the kids who have fallen through the cracks during the pandemic. We need to ensure all students, no matter their race, gender, zip code, or income have the same opportunities to succeed in school and in life.
With you on our side, CIS of Mid-America will GO BEYOND to help students define and reach their potential and achieve their dreams.
Communities In Schools surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Through school-based coordination, Communities In Schools connects students and their families to critical community resources, tailored to local needs.
