Mother Foucault's News & Events
October, 2017

Welcome to our very first bookshop newsletter! We've got a full October coming up, including book launch readings with Matthew Minnicucci and Pat Thomas, a conversation with poet and translator Richard Tillinghast, and our (very exciting!) 3rd Annual Airstream Poetry Festival in Seaview.

Read on for more news, and find full events listings on our website calendar.

The Myrtlewood Cookbook (Sasquatch, 2nd ed.), with recipes by Andrew Barton and photographs by Peter Schweitzer, is available now, and will launch at the bookshop this Saturday, October 7 at 2pm. Join us for readings and treats and celebration!

Introducing. . . Zosia Waitr!

In conjunction with our Airstream Poetry Festival, the Sou'wester Lodge and Trailer Park is sponsoring a writing residency the week of October 16-22. Last month we collected submissions, and Zosia Waitr was chosen by blind jury as our inaugural Airstream Poetry Fellow. Zosia will spend the week in the Sou'wester's "Potato Bug" trailer, writing, walking by the ocean, and gathering inspiration for her work. She'll be featured in our Saturday night reading along with poets Carl Adamshick, Jennifer Firestone, and others. See the full program for details.
