2019 Trauma Informed Training!

As this is both Child Abuse Prevention Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.  While they shouldn't need special months, they help organizations to highlight their causes in a more digestible way.  I can't think of anything that is more preventive of child abuse and sexual assault than supporting parents and partners to feel better and integrate overwhelming experiences more easily.  If you are in a professional position to be of service in this way, please join me in trauma informed continuing education this year!

Are you interested in learning ways you can better support yourself or your clients to literally digest overwhelming experiences between sessions?  Or inexpensive, self-constructive ways to feel better now and later, besides massage or a mani/pedi? Join me at Yoga Seed Collective April 20, 2-5pm for Trauma Informed Ayurveda!  It’s filling up fast!  If you are interested in taking the training and have some foundation in Ayurveda, you can take this class instead of Sept 21.
Finally, I am gearing up to hold another 25-50 hour Trauma Informed Yoga & Self Care Teacher & Therapist Training.  Hours vary depending on whether you are a Yoga Teacher, Ayurvedic Practitioner, or Mental Health or Social Worker/ Therapist, so cost will vary.  You can also drop in to one or more classes at Kinfolk Yoga, or (hopefully) view them online.  Get in touch to express interest.

Retreat for Yoga Teachers Oct 11-14: 25 1/2hrs at Lake Tahoe cabin

The first weekend will be for therapists to get familiar with the postures and teaching foundations, acknowledging that therapists will not be teaching groups, only one on one sessions.  The middle two weekends will be held in person at Kinfolk Yoga in Grass Valley for those that would prefer a more direct connection, or happen to live in the area.  I am hoping to get the second two weekends online by July so if you are at a distance, you can watch at your own pace and take a proficiency quiz before coming.
If you are interested, or know anyone who might be, please spread the word!!

If this feels like too much of a commitment, look for a shorter online series of classes this summer….

I'm Interested!
