New, Car-Technology Pentest Lab!

In this brand new, stand alone, automotive Internet of Things lab, students take on the real world scenario-based challenge of vehicular penetration testing.

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Laboratory Exercise is an advanced lab intended for undergraduate to graduate level classes.

The environment (GNU-Radio TPMS (2021.9)) for this exercise is an Ubuntu virtual machine with GNU Radio software installed.

Introducing the Cyber Story series! These videos will consist of interviews with cybersecurity professionals at all career levels and backgrounds. We know the options for cybersecurity careers are nearly endless and the people working in cybersecurity all have a unique story to tell. 

We recently had a chance to interview Bob Tureman, associate professor of CAMP Community College in Southeast Virginia. Looking back over his 40 year career, he never thought he would end up in cybersecurity education. Watch to get a closer look at how all his career choices led him right into the industry.
NEW CYBERSECURITY PATHWAY FOR NVCC AND VIRGINIA TECH

Anne M. Kress, president of Northern Virginia Community College, and Cyril Clarke, executive vice president and provost at Virginia Tech, signed agreements on Friday, Nov. 12, that would provide a guided transfer path toward earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology’s Cybersecurity Management and Analytic option.

Starting Friday, December 3rd, 2021, MetaCTF will host its 7th annual virtual jeopardy-style CTF! CyberGames is free and open to everyone, and participants can compete in teams of up to 4.

This CTF will challenge participants of all skill levels to learn new cybersecurity techniques and skills, with problems covering a variety of topics such as web exploitationcryptographybinary exploitationreverse engineeringforensics, and reconnaissance.

Participants will have opportunities to network with sponsors and recruiters. Throughout the CTF, we will be livestreaming a series of talks, problem walkthroughs, and sessions with well-known cybersecurity professionals!

The Annual NICE K12 Cybersecurity Education Conference, supported by the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE), and hosted by iKeepSafe, brings together members of the K12 educational ecosystem in support of growing the cybersecurity workforce of the future.
