Ground Zero tells the story of two young people years and oceans apart whose lives converge: one who is trapped in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and another whose Afghan village is caught in the crossfire during a battle between the Taliban and the U.S. Army on September 11, 2019. This book is a gripping and illuminating read for readers ages 8 and up, especially as the 20th anniversary of 9/11 approaches.
