Hi library friend

We're Offering Curbside Pick up Again!

How it works:

Requesting items

Not sure what to request? Ask us for a GRAB BAG. Let us know by phone or email what you want, for example 3 Western novels, books on Lawn Care and Growing Annuals, or 5 Picture Books and we’ll pick a selection for you.

Arranging Pickup

Pickup sessions will take place at the Clocktower parking lot on weekdays. Morning, afternoon and early evening times will be offered.

Pickup is by appointment only

  • When your items are ready for pick-up, the library staff will contact you by phone or email and an appointment will be set up for contactless pick-up.
  • Staff can make the appointment for you or you can make the appointment yourself using the online appointment system, which you may link to your calendar.
  • Details as to the pick-up process will be provided when users are contacted.
  • At the appointed pick-up time, physical distancing measures must be taken. Pick-up will take place outdoors on the east (clock tower) side of the building.

Returning borrowed items

  • Returning items must be returned through the library drop box beside the West (10th Avenue) entrance only.
  • No returns will be accepted at the pick up appointment. This is to keep the items separate, to be quarantined until they are safe to handle.
  • All library materials will be sanitized and quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours. Staff will observe all necessary safety precautions in handling materials.

The Canadian Tire Hanging Basket Sale
Coming Soon!

Our great friends and library supporters Dale and Cathy Cousins will be partnering with us again for the May 2021 Hanging Basket Sale!

In May, Hanover Canadian Tire owners Dale and Cathy Cousins, bring in a huge selection of the most gorgeous flowering hanging baskets and sell them for a sweet price – and then they donate $1 for each one sold to the library.

The generous donation we receive helps the library to provide our services to the community. Because of this assistance we have been able to add more online resources in 2020 and 2021 to help everyone staying at home be entertained and informed.

Watch this space for more information as we get closer to the time. It’s only a couple of weeks away!

Thanks so much to Dale and Cathy and their staff, and to all of you who have purchased hanging baskets before. You’re the best!

Here's the hanging basket our CEO/Chief Librarian Agnes bought last year looking lovely on her deck one year later!
