New Flyer to revolutionize public transit with Robotic Research
On May 15, New Flyer announced a partnership with Robotic Research LLC, shortly following the launch of its Autonomous Technology Program on May 6. 

What will the partnership pursue?
Together,
New Flyer and Robotic Research will advance autonomous bus technology through development and deployment of advanced driver-assistance systems (“ADAS”) in heavy-duty transit bus applications.

Why Robotic Research?

Robotic Research, a provider of autonomy software and robotic technology and solutions, is an industry leader in artificial intelligence-based technology and has extensive experience delivering successful Level 5 autonomous vehicle applications in the defense and intelligence community, including the U.S. Department of Defense.

What does this mean for the future of public transit?
New Flyer builds on a history of leading innovation in public transportation, and together with Robotic Research, will pursue an ADAS vision that supports the mobility needs of all communities relying on public transit for safe and reliable transportation every day - ultimately working to improve safety in public transit.

Find us at this week's APTA Mobility Conference!
This week, New Flyer joins APTA's 2019 Mobility Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Find us May 20 at the bus display (11:00 am - 4:00 pm) and May 21 at the Mobility Product & Services Showcase at Booth #232 (10:30 am - 2:00 pm). New Flyer, alongside MCI, ARBOC, and NFI Parts, will be onsite featuring advanced technology and products, including: In addition, New Flyer President Chris Stoddart will share expertise during the Opportunities, Challenges, and Impacts of Connected and Automated Transit Vehicles session, while Director of Sustainable Transportation David Warren will speak on Emerging Vehicle Technologies.
