A new model of local support for people and communities

Together with the Transportation Diversity Council (TDC), New Flyer is proud to introduce its national Community Benefits Framework (CBF) – a mechanism for accountability that builds on existing workforce development initiatives, while enhancing the hiring of underserved and underrepresented individuals.

A mechanism for accountability

The CBF complements local agreements with transit agencies and community partners across America, and is the foundation that will govern, create, and implement robust programming at all New Flyer facilities, including:

Establishment of an Employee Engagement Committee
Effective management of a safe and respectful workplace
Execution of leading environmental health and safety practices
Commitments to disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE)
Industry advocacy and support for workforce development and inclusion
