NoCO's Unique Approach to
Economic Development

What’s unique about it? Our collaborative approach to business retention and attraction activity.

The NoCO Business Retention and Expansion Partnership (NoCO BRE) and the Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI) are a consortium of economic and workforce development professionals working together to support primary employers in northern Colorado.

“We recognize that economic benefits in one community
benefit all due to the interconnected nature of the
regional economy. Working together allows for greater
impact in the region.” -- Jacob Castillo, Larimer County
        Economic Development Manager

The objective of this collaboration is to increase the region’s economic resilience and improve the business ecosystem. Not only has Larimer and Weld County approved the Northern Colorado Regional Economic Development Partnership MOU but the communities and chambers are meeting and collaborating on a regular basis to develop and implement business retention and attraction activity.

For more information about each of the consortium's, contact the Berthoud Business Development Department.

Larimer & Loveland Business Centers to support
Berthoud area businesses

The Larimer Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has ample workshops to help small business succeed. Until recently those workshops were usually held in Fort Collins. Now Berthoud businesses can also access training sessions at the Loveland Business Development Center (SBDC).

Training classes are developed and presented by current or former successful business owners just like you. They are volunteers eager to share their knowledge to help the local business community succeed and prosper.

These small group settings provide the opportunity to ask and share information with other businesses owners.
