The good news is that there are new guides and videos up. I'm healthy and still hiking. The bad news is that I've had to take a step back from full-time HikingGuy. After COVID hit, my affiliate commissions (how I make a living off of this) got drastically cut. Then it became impossible to get guiding insurance for my in-person trips. This summer, the final nail in the coffin was a change in the Google search algorithm, which cut my search traffic in half. Luckily I've found part-time work that still gives me the flexibility to hike. In these crazy times, I'm grateful for all the opportunities that I still have.
