A Monthly eNewsletter by The ShutterBee Effect
Full of Thanks
I know… I’m super late to the dinner party. BUT considering how November went, it kinda makes sense that I’m sending out the November edition of The Buzz a few weeks late. Although December is already in full swing, I still have to pop in to update you all on my November adventures and of course share some of the things I’m thankful for. Although the third Thursday in November is dedicated to this as the official day of thanks, I’m a firm believer in expressing gratitude all year long.
Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone!
Another Month of Travels
As you know, launching The ShutterBee Effect (TSBE) earlier this year was a big step for me in prioritizing my photography business. However, in November, I had to take a short break from being behind the lens while I traveled coast-to-coast, for my full time job.
Over the past few weeks, I have been a busy Bee managing my organization’s final few fundraising walks of the season. I am SO thankful that my last two trips of the year were an escape from the cold as I ventured to Los Angeles, California and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The sun was shining bright from sea to shining sea for me in November, and the people that I met at the events were an inspiring reminder of why being on 16 airplanes in 2 months was totally worth it.
All I can say is I’m excited to take a break from airports for a while. I do have one more encounter with Southwest Airlines this year for a trip to Colorado for Christmas, but as for work related travel, I am very happy to announce that I am officially DONE!
In between my travels in November, I spent quite a bit of time coaching my competitive cheerleaders as we prepped for competition season. Since the last time I checked in, we have had our Program Showcase and our first competition. Our girls have been making some major progress and we are proud to say that we are in such a great place heading into December. Our team has been growing more and more into a little family unit with each passing week which makes us super excited for these next few months.
I am so grateful to have the honor of coaching a team of athletes who truly love this sport, listen and respond positively to our feedback, and make a clear effort to push themselves to get better.
Don't Worry, I'm Still Buzzing
Although life has been crazy, there are still stories to be told! In case you missed it, here are the sessions that were added to TSBE blog in November:
From Pregnancy to Parenthood | A Family Session
Satterfield Thanksgiving | A Family Session
To sum it up, this has been one crazy Fall with very minimal down time. As stressful and hectic as it was at times, I wouldn't change a thing about it. It has been just another action-packed-month in 2017 that taught me a lot about adjusting my priorities, time management and making the most of quality time that I get with the people I love.
There’s still time - I have a few openings left for $100 Holiday Minis!
