A Monthly eNewsletter by The ShutterBee Effect
What’s The Buzz All About?
Happy Fall, everyone! I am super excited to say that you are among the first people to receive The ShutterBee Effect’s monthly eNewsletter – The Buzz. You have been added to this list because you either subscribed to my mailing list, or we have worked together in the past. I wanted to start off by saying thank you for being a part of my journey as a photographer and encourage you to explore my new website and my blog if you haven’t had the chance to yet. The ShutterBee Effect (TSBE) is almost a whole month old, so I would love your feedback on my new style and messaging that I’ve been putting out there since the launch.
One of my primary goals of rebranding my photography business is to have my brand better represent who I am as an artist, a business owner and a young woman living in the age of technology and digital media. My passion for communication and artistic storytelling led me to create a business that I am truly proud of and I have recently felt more inspired than I have in quite some time. I hope that The Buzz helps my clients and supporters feel more connected to me than you ever have. As always, thanks for following along and supporting my daydream!
2017 – A Busy Year for a Busy Bee
2017 has been one of the best years of my life and I am thankful for the blessings and opportunities that have surfaced the past 9 months. Beyond working feverishly on launching The ShutterBee Effect by redefining my artistic style, creating a marketing strategy and graphic design, there have been many changes in other areas of my professional and personal life.
In addition to photography, I work full time as an event planner for a non-profit that supports people affected by primary immunodeficiency diseases, and also coach a competitive cheerleading team a few nights a week. So far this year, I have photographed two weddings, a maternity shoot, two newborn sessions, two first birthdays, six family sessions and a variety of other portrait sessions. I was also promoted to Assistant Walk Manager of the Immune Deficiency Foundation at the beginning of this year and have since been traveling to a variety of events across the country. I spend my Sundays and Mondays coaching a team of 12-18-year-old cheerleaders who are training for competition season which is right around the corner. I'm not sure if I need a coffee or a nap just thinking about everything that’s on my plate these days!
To sum things up – I have never been more busy, but I have absolutely no complaints! I am incredibly lucky to get to work three jobs that I am passionate about and look forward to being surrounded by passionate people who strive to make a positive impact on the world. I am so thankful to have a support system that holds me up during the long days of working multiple jobs in different cities. My man, my family and my friends have reminded me to enjoy the free time I do have to the absolute fullest. I am very excited to be able to update you all on a monthly basis from now on through The Buzz so that you can keep up with my recent work and hear about the new and exciting things in my life. Stay tuned!
