This course provides a detailed overview of cleanrooms and how they can prevent or correct contamination issues. It's applicable to beginner and more experienced cleanroom professionals. The instructors describe the functions of various cleanroom types, how to measure cleanliness, and cleanroom operation basics (both fabrication and biological). The material is relevant to new construction and retrofit cleanrooms.

Cleanrooms are high-technology environments that require specific controls for operations, operator behavior, cleanroom housekeeping, equipment design and material selection. Cleanroom testing is an important part of cleanroom qualification and ongoing monitoring is an important part of cleanroom operations. This course will address the fundamentals of cleanroom testing related to ISO 14644 international cleanroom standards and address recent revisions to ISO 14644 Parts 1 & 2 on cleanroom testing. The instructor will provide examples of cleanroom testing and monitoring in various industries.
