This month we are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Spring Conference 2022, which we hope to hold at Harper Adams University, Shropshire, 4-6 April 2022. For more details see the BAHS Web Site.
We have news of a significant publication: The farming diaries of Thomas Pinniger, 1813-1847. The years 1823-38 have been transcribed by Alan Wadsworth, who has also written an introduction that covers the whole span of the diaries. From 1813 until his death in 1847, Thomas Pinniger kept a detailed daily account of the sheep and corn husbandry he practised first at Little Bedwyn Farm to 1825, and then as the owner of Beckhampton Farm in Avebury, Wilts., from 1829. These periods were separated by a stay on Sambourne Farm in Chippenham, when he was more an observer than an active farmer.  For more details see the BAHS Web Site.
Agricultural History Review Volume 69 Part 1 is now available

We also have news of other recent publications, and a new form for the Work in Progress list.  If you wish to create or update your own entry in this list, we encourage you to use this form.
