Resources for Teaching

In early August, UDTS biblical scholars Matthew Schlimm and Jordan Ryan spent several days in London exploring the British Museum and British Library. These two institutions hold many valuable artifacts and manuscripts relevant for studying the Bible. The professors will use their photos and recordings as resources for their lectures and research. It is a rare thing for a Christian writer to speak sympathetically of the Pharisees in their work. This group, the religious elite of the time of Christ and the Apostles are almost always the bad guys of the biblical narrative. Over the last few weeks, however, I have had a situation occur, that, taking place in tandem with my daily readings in the book of Acts, have left me with a certain amount of sympathy for them.  Read more...
