In just a few short months our world has completely changed, with many people personally impacted by COVID-19. Despite this, we remain resilient, showing renewed compassion toward our friends and neighbors while continuing to take the right steps to ensure the safety of our patients.

We hope all of you, your families, and your staff are staying healthy and safe during this COVID-19 pandemic. The past few months have truly been a very challenging and stressful period for all the world. The leadership of the World Glaucoma Association has been closely monitoring the spread of the virus and its impact on our members.

WGC-2019 videos: Education Committee Selections

Throughout the year we will be releasing content from the World Glaucoma Congress in Melbourne (WGC-2019) on the Educational Portal. Click here to access the portal and get free access to all the WGC-2013, WGC-2015 and WGC-2017 recordings. WGC-2019 participants have free access to all the Melbourne recorded sessions as well!
The Education Committee carefully selects presentations from the WGC-2019 for your benefit. This month Ronnie George introduces the sessions: Controversies in angle closure treatment, International Society of Glaucoma Surgery - Glaucoma Surgical Nightmares and New Potions from the Hogwarts Cauldron for Treating Glaucoma.

Controversies in angle closure treatment

This session is in a debate format which takes up the questions of laser peripheral iridotomy for all in PACS, the role of laser peripheral iridotomy for all in PACS, iridoplasty in PACG and clear lens extraction are based on cases introduced by Dr Yaxing Wang, Dr Tin Aung and Dr Rahat respectively and then debated by the other speakers.
