To all elementary music teachers and specialists in the State of Idaho,
Because of the dedication and perseverance of Dr. Lori Conlon Khan of the Lionel Hampton School of Music, IMEA president Kathi Stefani, the Idaho Orff Board, and many other Idaho music educators, IMEA and the Idaho Orff chapter will be hosting the Inaugural Idaho Honor Orff Ensemble in conjunction with the 2020 Idaho Music Educators Association (IMEA), All-State Conference at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. If you are ready for a boost in your teaching experience, have participated in your own riveting opportunities of sharing the stage with inspiring performances, we at Idaho Orff encourage you to read further.
The Orff pedagogy of the Schulwerk lends itself completely to the creative cohesive beauty of singing, moving and instrument playing within the make-up of a child. We invite you to read the attached information sheet for further details. Please email the registration coordinator, Lynne Groening firstname.lastname@example.org for questions, and further information.
Share this opportunity with any elementary music teacher, specialist, choir director etc. that might want to check out this amazing performing platform. Time is of the essence. New ideas take longer to facilitate and execute.
You will find all of the needed forms on the Idaho Orff page of the IMEA website: www.idahomusiced.org
What do I do with these forms?
- First, read the "Orff Honor Ensemble Teacher Letter"
- Read and then Forward the "Principal Letter" to your principal.
- Forward the "Orff Honor Ensemble Parent Letter" to parents of your selected top 10 students with the "Chaperone and Student Statement of Obligation"
- Fill out the Teacher Recommendation Form and return before October 14 to Shirley Van Paepaghem email@example.com
The due date for selecting students is October 14. Please don't miss out on this musical opportunity.
