Call for Research Posters
Dear Research Enthusiasts,
On behalf of the Idaho Music Educators Association and as their Chair for Higher Education/Research, I would like to invite you and your students to present research projects and findings in a Research Poster Session at the 2020 IMEA conference in the lovely foyer of NNU’s Brandt Auditorium on Friday, January 31, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
A number of years have passed since our last IMEA Research Poster Session and it is time to see what has happened since then in the important field of educational research within our musical communities. An open invitation for all kinds of research projects, including action research within the classroom, are welcomed.
We have chosen to place the poster sessions in a high-traffic area where conference attendees walking by will have the opportunity to stop, view, and converse with participants about their projects. We hope this will increase the visibility for your work as well as increase interest in the world of research.
Requirements and guidelines include the following:
- An abstract of 200-500 words describing your research project - the purpose, research questions, methodology, and results, even if these are preliminary
- A 50-word description for the IMEA conference booklet and publicity
- Posters should be 40” X 40” maximum, may be within these boundaries.
Notice of intent to participate with your abstract and description should be sent to me at email@example.com by Friday, December 20. I look forward to hearing from you.
