Again the key is to build the Core and avoid the nagging season long injuries! Most of us spend to much time doing conventional sit-ups and squats. Focus on building up the psoas, the hip flexors, obliques, IT Bands, groin, lower back and glutes while increasing hip flexion thru your Olympic lifts - cleans w/ squats, pistols, and Bulgarians at moderate to light weights to ensure the back and connective tissue doesn't compensate for the heavy load.
