Knowing the number of organizations you could choose to support is long; we would be honored to be on your list for end of the year giving!
This #GivingTuesday, give women the gift of equality. Your donation will help us:
Host more events. Like our She Votes Families! event where we provided busy families with the tools they need to be engaged and have an impact in the upcoming election. Look out for our She Votes Illinois, Level Up event series in January/February 2020 with events that include a live podcast, a documentary premiere and a CivicsFest that will engage and activate residents in Illinois to get out the vote, empower women to run for office, and much, much more!
Partner with more organizations. Like our Pilsner, Pay and Politics event in 2019 that we co-hosted with Huddle In The Loop as an informal panel about pay equity for women and how to enact change at the city, state and federal level. MARCH WITH US in Chicago on January 18, 2020 as we partner with Women’s March Chicago to amplify the importance of the 2020 Census and to get out the vote for the March primaries!
Amplify our voices to elected officials. Whether it’s meeting with Representative Kelly Cassidy to support the Reproductive Health Act or with Representative Kam Buckner about his legislation to address women missing and murdered in Chicago, we’re developing relationships with state legislators to make change in Illinois through policy.
Engage the youth. Through speaking engagements and voter registration drives at colleges and universities, we’re addressing the fact that 18-24 years olds have the lowest voter turnout. We want to connect with them to make sure their voices are heard through elections.
Every dollar helps She Votes Illinois continue our work across the state of Illinois to protect and advocate for women’s rights.
It’s supporters like you who make this possible. Your support is vital to making our dreams a reality for 2020 and beyond.
