Eagle Scout Project
Ben Mast, with BSA Troop 202, is making the Valdese Lakeside Park area a better place to drop your fishing anchor. Eight fish attractors, that Ben designed and built with the help of fellow his scouts, will be deployed next week. Ben worked with NCWRC, FVR and CRWC to make this project happen. FVR and CRWC will fund the project. What an amazing gift to the community - Thanks, Ben.
State Trail to Connect to Valdese Lakeside Park
Today, Governor Roy Cooper was at Baker's Mountain announcing the new Wilderness Gateway Trail that will come across South Mountains State Park and have a connector to Valdese. We need to get the bridge in place across McGalliard Creek to create a loop trail. Donate Today!
