Jonathan Carter - New Athletic Supervisor
Originally from Burke County, Jonathan has made his way back home after a stint in South Carolina. With his Recreation Degree from Coastal Carolina University, he has been working in the Horry County Parks and Rec Dept. If you have kids at Valdese Elementary, you may have seen Jonathan at open house for his first day with Valdese Parks and Rec, along with fellow athletic supervisor Jesse Bunton. Jonathan's first role on the job will be to handle programming for soccer. As for interests, Jonathan loves the outdoors, hiking and college sports. He attends Lakeview Baptist Church. He is happy to be back home in North Carolina. If you see Jonathan around, give him a big welcome and tell him what you would like to see in Rec Athletics.

Tennis Ladder Signup - Deadline Sept 7
Reply to this e-mail with your name, age, preferred contact method with players (e-mail, phone/text, closed facebook group). Once we know how many people are interested, we can determine if there should be different categories (male/female, age, etc) or just one group. We will get started in mid Sept. A tennis ladder is a way for local players to meet and play matches at mutually convenient times. All abilities welcome! Facebook Event - see who is interested
