Federal Reserve to Open New Main Street Lending Program, Bolster the Current Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) 
The Federal Reserve on Thursday took additional actions to provide up to $2.3 trillion in loans to support the economy. This funding will assist households and employers and will help to bolster the ability of state and local governments to deliver critical services during the Coronavirus pandemic.  

Relief Program Eligibility Wizard Reminder  
Wondering which COVID-19 funding programs your business qualifies for? In case you missed it yesterday, the HCEDA collaborated with industry partners, business leaders, and statewide organizations to launch the Relief Program Eligibility Wizard

The Office of Minority Business Enterprise (OMBE) Update 
The Office of Minority Business Enterprise (OMBE), while operating under the governor's social distancing directives, will continue to process requests for certification. Applicants will be contacted by telephone to perform the required interview with the owner(s). The mandatory on-site visit at your place of business will be performed when business operations return to normal. Firms that are currently certified should continue to submit Annual Renewal documentation as requested. Check their website for more information.

County Executive Ball Signs Executive Order to Clarify Government Operations and Services Available to Residents  
The Executive Order continues provisions from the County Executive’s previous Executive Order issued in March which suspended legal and procedural deadlines, due dates, and times of default/expiration administered by Howard County to aid in the prevention of the spread of COVID-19. The order allows processes that are essential and necessary for the continuity of government, and that can be performed in a safe manner to continue operating to the extent possible. Neighbor Ride Pivots to Deliver Food During Crisis 
Neighbor Ride, partnered with the Howard County Food Bank and Howard County Office on Aging and Independence to aid local seniors by offering food delivery services and rides to essential medical appointments during the COVID-19 pandemic. To learn more and donate, visit: NeighborRide.org
