Meet Our Freshmen Representatives!

Francis Huynh
Major: Biology, Pre-Med
Fun Fact: I'm single.
Why I wanted to be Freshmen Rep:   I want new experiences in leadership, and I like to be active with people that I enjoy being around.
Annemarie Picolo
Major: Secondary Education (English focus)
Fun Fact: I like to paint.
Why I wanted to be Freshmen Rep:   I have a lot of family and friends who are Vietnamese, and I like to learn about culture. I would also like to teach English there one day!
 

Date Auction Choreographers:

WOES Founders from UNOVASA will be choreographing this year's dance for Date Auction. This year's choreographers are: John Duong (Far left), Kevin Hoang aka Kdot(Middle) and head choreographer, Jenny Le'Dang (Right).

Bake Sale 9/13/17

This month, UNOVASA had their first bake sale to raise money for our Collective Philanthropy Project (CPP). This year's CPP is the Pacific Links Foundation. Be sure to stay updated with us so that y'all won't miss out on our future events!

2nd General Meeting

On Sept 21, we had our Second General Meeting! At this meeting we discussed our upcoming events for the semester. To thank your members, we had an ice cream social! Something special about this meeting was that we tried to teach our members a little bit of Vietnamese! See how they did above!

Paper Lantern Night

Thank you everyone who showed support at our first big event of the year! Paper Lantern Night was a huge success thanks to each and every one of you. We had many performers; including performers from Tulane, UNO, and LSU. If you missed out on Paper Lantern Night, click the photo above to see the rest of the photos from this amazing night. 

#FanDanceChallenge

Thank you everyone who participated in the #FanDanceChallenge. This challenge was used to raise money for our Collective Philanthropy Project! UNOVASA will be donating $1 for every challenge that was posted with the hashtag, #fandancechallenge. Our executive board picked our favorite #fandancechallenge and they were reward with a gift card from one of our sponsors! Check out the winner below!

VSOUL- Lafayette Night

Congratulations to VSOUL for having a successful Viet Week! Viet Week ended with a great culture show called, Lafayette by Night. There were many amazing performances. Click the photo to see our PR Lynn Vo and VSALSU's Sports Coordinator, Joseph Bagert, perform Need You Now by Lady Antebellum.
