'VERY RARE' Premieres TONIGHT!
I met Megan Hattie Stahl when contributors of our film 'Floxed' tagged me in some posts. She wanted to make a short film by the same name and I welcomed her to join us. Having Megan join our team wasn't in the cards, but I did get to see the premiere of her 10 minute short, 'Very Rare,' when it came out through her film school in Brooklyn.
'Very Rare' is a beautiful short that highlights the experience of trying to heal from being floxed from a loved one's perspective. If you have the time, check it out.

Many of you were bummed because you weren't able to see this film when it originally premiered, but luckily, it has just entered the festival circuit! Since many festivals are either cancelled or completely virtual this year, it's been hectic to be a filmmaker during these times. As you likely know, we had to put everything for Floxed on hold. We definitely can't film immunocompromised floxies during a global pandemic!
BUT I can help you all watch this documentary and support this incredible filmmaker, who wanted to spread awareness when her partner was floxed himself. 'Very Rare' is available to watch ONLINE at the Socially Relevant Film Festival (SRFF) from Tuesday through Thursday in 'Short Film Block 3: Medicine and Healthcare' also labeled as 'Wed 6/24: Birth Wars & Shorts Block 3.' Tickets can be purchased here for $4. Megan is also doing a live Q&A tomorrow during this time, so be sure to check it out and ask any questions you have!
And in case you wanted to see a trailer, check that out right here.
Stay safe and healthy in the meantime!
