AC2021 Important Dates 

The 2021 Northern Illinois Annual Conference with the theme "Jesus Makes a Way" will convene using Zoom webinar July 16-17 with Interim Bishop John Hopkins presiding.

April 24: 2020 Class Ordination and Commissioning Service at 3pm (by invitation only); visit for livestream links
May 3: Legislation and Historical Documents due (no exceptions): send all documents to
June 1: Online registration opens. Cost: $30 (covers video production, voting technology, worship planning and other administrative expenses).
June 28: Clergy Session via Zoom,10am to 12 noon
June 30: Registration closes
July 16-17: Annual Conference Session
Oct. 1: 2021 Class Ordination and Commissioning Service
Oct. 2: Fall AC Session (budget and other agenda items)

"Mission Links" Inspires Second-Mile Giving

Mission links coverThe Conference Board of Global Ministries (CBGM) encourages you to explore the new conference mission-giving book called “Mission Links: Living the Beatitudes,” which replaces the Rainbow Covenant book. Mission Links is the product of more than 12 months of prayerful, reflective work for the committee, which sought to update and refresh the book’s design and content while linking connectional giving to scripture.

HS Students: Take a Journey toward Racial Justice This Summer

Registration is now open for a unique camp experience for United Methodist high school students (incoming freshmen through graduating high school students). Justice Camp dates are June 13 (in-person and Zoom), June 27 (Zoom), July 11 (Zoom), and August 8 (Zoom). Campers will take a journey toward racial justice by exploring the DuSable Museum and the Obama Presidential Library site in Chicago, engaging with representatives from the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Equal Justice Initiative, and experiencing a panel discussion and engagement with the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference, the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission and the John Hope Franklin Center. Redistricting Coming Soon

As previously communicated, the shift from six to five districts goes into effect July 1, 2021. In anticipation of redistricting, churches have been assigned new identification numbers for appointments and insurance/benefits payments.
