Classroom Highlights
4th Grade
Fourth graders have been enjoying studying the United States, States and Capitals. We are already half way done with the whole U.S. We have also been having fun doing a show and tell presentation for each region we study. We just finished learning about the Middle West region and places like the Mall of America!
Spanish Class
Overall this year in Spanish we've been working really hard at every grade level to hold ourselves accountable to stay in the target language as much as possible.  Sra. Stockinger introduced the kids to a new, more rigorous participation rubric at the beginning of the year, and they are doing a great job taking risks, learning from mistakes, and supporting each other in our language-learning adventure!  Keep up the good work!  ¡Feliz Navidad!

We will begin the festivities following the vigil Mass for the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God. Mass is at 4 p.m. The party will start around 5 p.m. and end near 8 p.m. (meaning there is still plenty of time for the adults to attend other parties). Be sure to invite your friends, and please bring along family friendly games and activities to celebrate the beginning of 2020! To RSVP, click here

Master Planning Feedback If you have not already submitted your feedback to our Feasibility Study to Consider Improving Our Church and School Facilities, please do so soon. We would like to hear your voice as we move forward with our master planning process. All of our registered parishioners should have received a short-form survey. Those who attended one of the Presentation & Dialogue Meetings should have received a long-form survey. If you have questions about this, please email the parish office.

Dear Good Shepherd Families,

On March 14, 2020, Good Shepherd School is hosting their 14th Annual Good Shepherd Gala at Golden Valley Country Club. Each year, the Gala provides a special evening of socializing and entertainment for the Good Shepherd community. It also serves as our annual fundraiser to help raise funds to support and growth and development of the school. The gala is a vital component of the school’s overall operating budget, and also fund unique school improvements each year. In year’s past, we have funded the classroom renovations, school security features, and STEM programming just to name a few!

You can help with this effort in the following ways:

  • Silent Auction – Contribute a silent auction item for the event. Your contribution is tax deductible and helps us to present a unique and special evening for attendees. Popular items include golfing opportunities, tickets to sporting events, dining opportunities, special “destination” trips (timeshare/cabin), as well as more traditional “baskets”-wine, camping, game night, etc. Please see the attached donation form to complete and mail in, drop off, or email to jessicaede@gsgvschool.org .
  • Sponsorship – Find an opportunity to sponsor a part of the event with a sponsorship by you, your company, or by a family member, friend, or local business willing to support the school. The best way to secure sponsorships are through personal connections with businesses. Do you know a business that would support our school? All sponsorships are tax deductible. See attached list of sponsorship options. For questions or to secure a sponsorship contact jessicaede@gsgvschool.org  or at 763-545-4285.
  • Buy your Raffle Tickets- Look for the “gold” at upcoming school and parish events to purchase your raffle tickets! This year we will be offering a “Split the Pot Raffle” or your choice of wine, spirits, micro brew or the always popular family fun basket!
  • BOOK IT! - Mark your calendars to attend! Invitations will be mailed in early January, but be sure to hold the date to enjoy this great community building event with us! Come and celebrate with us, its sure to be a roaring good time! Your students already came home with our Save the Date bookmarks as your reminder to save the date and start thinking about donations! Your password for admission #its4thekids!
We are especially in need of great gathering hosts and wine donations (at least $20 value)!

We hope to see you all there!
