MAP Testing Reminder
During the weeks of September 23rd – October 4th, your child will take a MAP Growth test from NWEA on a computer. We give students MAP Growth tests 3 times per year to measure academic growth throughout the school year.
MAP Growth tests are unique in that they adapt to your child’s level of learning. If your child answers a question correctly, the next question is more challenging. If they answer incorrectly, the next one is easier. This results in a detailed picture of what your child knows and is ready to learn – whether it is on, above, or below their grade level.
Here are some helpful reminders to prepare for testing:
  • Get a good night sleep so that your child is well rested.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast.
  • Remind your child to do their best on each test. The tests are untimed so they can go at their own pace.
  • Remind your child to be proud of their hard work this year and the growth they have already made.
Classroom Highlights
The Kindergarteners learned all about color chemistry in Curious Minds STEM class!
4th Grade
Fourth grade had a great morning at Westwood Nature Center last week. They learned about tree identification and traveled the trails using a dichotomous key. This week fourth grade is headed to the Water Festival located at the MN State Fairgrounds. Stay tuned for an update on what they learned there in the coming weeks!
A Note from the Specialist Teachers

Parents, please review the grading letters below. These letters must be signed by parent and student and returned to school. If you would prefer a paper copy to be sent home with your child, please request from the school office.

Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity with minimal time commitment and a great feeling of satisfaction in return?

Children's Liturgy may be for you!

It's approximately twenty minutes with the kids in the social hall during Father's Homily.  You teach the kids a children's version of the homily.  We provide all the materials for the kids and a format of how the process works.  It's really not hard.
It usually averages out to about four times during the school year.  That's an hour and ten minutes for the school year.  It really is a fun and rewarding opportunity to work with the kids!
If you are interested, please contact the parish or school office.
