Kia ora <<First Name>>,

Welcome to the final edition of the SASTA Newsbytes for 2021.

We hope you are all keeping as well as can be as we enter the silly season. Thank you to every member that has sent in material for the Newsbytes over the past year, we have really enjoyed reading and sharing your stories with our members.

A big welcome to Jodie, Matthew, Sonia, and Marion who have joined the SASTA Executive! You may have a new Exec representing your region, check out who makes up the Executive at the bottom of this email. Don't be shy, feel free to touch base with them.

Finally, in exciting news... Planning and brainstorming discussions are underway with Waka Kotahi for the Professional Development workshop for 2022. If you have suggestions of topics that you would like to see included please let your local representative know. We will also be using the feedback from last year's workshop to help guide us with our planning.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year ahead. We hope you will have a chance to take a well-deserved break.

We look forward to touching base with you all in 2022!

Keep safe and healthy,

Ngā mihi nui - your executive.

Waka Kotahi Updates

Billboard?… Oh that billboard

As part of the dedicated focus to bring our road safety billboard network up to spec, David Scarlet is leading a piece of work alongside the Education & Advertising team to develop/build a bank of messages that can be used on billboards, nationally and locally.

Your input would be invaluable in determining the themes this billboard message bank could cover for everyone across the country to access.

The first step is a survey to better understand and capture your needs. If you can dedicate a few minutes to complete the survey to identify the key areas of focus, that would be great.

The survey is now live, please see the link below:

Our window is tight – survey closes Monday 20th December. More detailed information will be provided in the Waka Kotahi Snapshot due out next week.
