Although we focus on working in an educational environment you will find that the course content can equally be applied in one-to-one or small group situations with most age-groups, including adults!

  • Education Conference 2020
We are currently discussing plans for an Alexander in Education Conference in London for the summer of 2020. At the moment we still do not have exact dates/venue details (coming very soon) but the conference will most likely take place over two days in the early summer of 2020.
This is your first opportunity to make your ideas and opinions known. What sort of conference would you like? Do you have any suggestions for content from within or without the AT community? Are you interested in submitting a proposal for a workshop or 10 minute talk?
We will let you know more details when we have them but please let us know your thoughts.

  • Book Reviews
Please consider posting a review on Amazon for any of our books. Thank you.

  • Tell Us What You Are Up To
We are always interested to know what you are doing - especially if you are working in Education. It will be increasingly important to have information like this available for the general public as the Alexander in Education website goes live and links to the Developing Self website. Also sometimes we get enquiries now that come to us from various sources where there is the need for a teacher who can work with children or young people.

  •  Add Your Professional Details With Us and/or The Charity
All our graduates (STAT/affliates members or not) are warmly invited to put their professional details on the Developing Self website. A few of you have already done this. If you are interested in joining the teachers already promoting themselves in this way then simply email us. It is free. You can view the relevant page here
The Charity for the F Matthias Alexander Technique have also offered to list your details. It will be noted that you are a graduate of the Developing Self Education Training course. Please note though that the charity will only list our certified graduates who are still members of STAT or an affiliated society. To find out more please contact John Hunter

  • Podcasts
Two excellent podcasts are available where our own Esther Miltiadous talks about her work with children, including the work done at Educare Small School. She is interviewed by Robert Rickover. You can find both podcasts, plus other podcasts on education and the AT here
