Now, it's time for our chat with MCB Photo, whose elegant photos radiate natural grace of the female form, masterfully combined with a stunning landscape or setting.

1. How was your passion for photography born?
MATT:
"I was late getting into photography and started to pick it up when I became close friends with a few professional photographers.
After seeing some of their work, I got curious.
How was this created? What equipment was used? What did the set look like?
This of course lead to more questions and I was hooked. Luckily, I had a tremendous knowledge base to go for advice, help with shoots and especially to borrow gear! :)

2. Why do you photograph nude?
MATT:
Shooting nude is such a complicated subject, as there are hundreds, if not thousands of different points of view on the topic.
For me, it’s the purity that’s inherent to the genre and the ability to convey such a wide range of human emotion with such simplicity.

3. What are you looking to get across with your work?
MATT:
I would like to show off the unique beauty of the female form and try to create an image that makes people stop scrolling for a few seconds and take a second look.

4. How do you stay excited or inspired?
MATT:
As mentioned above, I have several close friends that are superbly talented photographers & models.
I mainly keep up with them and their work and it’s more than enough to keep me inspired and wanting to act on new concepts and try out new ideas.
|
|
5. What would be your dream shoot?
MATT:
Living in the SW US and being surrounded by desert, I definitely would look for something tropical. Either beaches or jungles.
Ideally both someday!
|
|
6. How did being on UTadventure tour impacted you as an artist?
MATT:
It was extremely helpful to be around other creatives and see how they approached their shoots.
From what gear they used and how they used it. How they viewed a certain shot and how they chose to set up. All of it was really helpful to continue to learn and improve.
It was also great to experience the stunning natural scenery in the unique locations we visited. And of course, making several new friendships that are still intact today."
