A big part of my daily routine is to get in a bit of exercise in some shape or form. For the past year+, I have enjoyed using workouts uploaded by Sydney Cummings. She is currently 34 weeks pregnant and can still crank out impressively difficult (for me) daily workouts!

Curved Piecing: Bias Evaluation

I was cutting fabric to prepare to test out the Meringue quilt pattern, and I noticed that I could get a little bit creative and save some fabric if I cut drunkard’s path concave templates differently than I normally recommend in a pattern. Well, one thing lead to another and I decided it was worth a side trip of effort to evaluate where the bias edges fall when piecing curves and the pros and cons of altering from standard practice. Stash Advice

Debbie of A Quilter's Table recently retired and was gifted a generous gift card to a local quilt shop. She was planning to enhance her solid stash, and asked how others approach stash building. She accumulated a lovely assortment of tips and generously compiled and shared them all with us in a recent blog post. Is there a particular piece of advice that resonates the most with you?

Rainbow Circle Mini Mini Quilts

I continually find that making small mini mini quilts can be a quick, creative balm. I recently made these two small matching mini mini quilts (they finished at approximately 5¼" square) from the scraps of a secret project. I kept one and sent the other to my friend for whom I make the secret project. I get to see the mini mini and think about my friend every day, which is a lovely connection.

Do you have any go to methods for a creativity boost or pick-me-up?

Thanks so much to everyone who sewed along during the Planview Quilt Along. It was a treat to get to see your beautiful quilts come together! Now that the quilt along is officially over, the stand along Planview digital quilt pattern is now available in the Quilting Jetgirl pattern shop.

The Planview quilt pattern is a fun, modern design that uses 5 fabrics plus a background fabric, and the fabric requirements will have a coloring page and lots of colorway options for you to consider. You can view the Planview Quilt Along linkup to get a lot of great colorway inspiration!

Reader Projects

The inadvertant theme for this month appears to be green! To see your quilt featured here, be sure to tag me on social media (@quiltingjetgirl #quiltingjetgirl) and/or use the appropriate quilt hashtag when you share a photo of your quilt!
Arianne @thenaptimequilter shared her stunning baby size version of the Sesen quilt with me, and I am smitten with her colorway. What a beautifully constructed quilt top!
Izzy @dizzyquiltsblog made this beautiful queen size version of Pulsar for her son. 😍

One of the perks of learning becoming more digital due to COVID for me has been finding great exercise content online. I love working out with Syndey Cummings, and one of the reasons I feel connected to her is that she is from West Virginia (I was born in West Virginia). It's a small world!

I hope you are doing well!
