MudGirls Studios Newsletter #2
October 2017

Thank you for your continued support.

Welcome to the October edition of the MudGirls Newsletter. Here you can learn about what we did in September and where we are headed next!

Manahawkin Makers Fest
On September 16, MudGirls Studios joined 150 other vendors at the Manahawkin Makers Fest for the first time. Donna (above) had so much fun talking with people who visited our tent, sharing our story and spending a beautiful day by the lake.

What a thrill for our women to have their work purchased and loved by the many who visited our booth. It was inspiring to talk with people who support our mission to help women improve their lives and become a part of the community. Thank YOU!
WheatonArts Festival of Fine Craft

Missed us at Makers Fest? MudGirls Studios is proud to attend the Festival of Fine Craft at WheatonArts on October 7th and 8th! This event includes musical entertainment, artist demonstrations, hands-on activities, and beautiful glass pumpkins. Grab some food or a drink from the Beer Garden and stop by to say hello!
Clay and Community

Our first guest artist Stockton sculpture professor Jed Morfit gave a mold  making demonstration in our studio. It's with the continued help of volunteers from the community that makes MudGirls Studios mission uniquely impactful.

Stu Lichtenstein (above) came by the studio and worked tirelessly to build beautiful tables. They were the perfect addition to our workspace! Allison Foley and her father Pete Foley also came to the studio and repaired a stairwell. The school above St. Michael's Church has been closed since 1988, and requires many minor repairs to get it back to it's original beauty.

Many of you have reached out to us asking how you can help. MudGirls Studios is excited to announce that we will be seeking volunteers to aid with a variety of tasks both in the studio and out. Our first Volunteer Open House will be October 21st. Have something you can bring to the table? Email us about specific volunteer opportunities!
