WheatonArts Fine Arts Festival

This was MudGirls Studios' first time at the WheatonArts Fine Arts Festival. It was a great success, selling out of peace doves, and hearts, with few pieces left to pack and take home!

MudGirls enjoyed two days of meeting other artists and vendors and taking their first stroll through the glass pumpkin patch! Thank you to Wheaton Arts for bringing us on board and to all our visitors who supported us, and to those who signed up for our newsletter, Welcome!

Volunteer Highlight

Michelle Post was one of our fist studio volunteers, helping us glaze work. MudGirls loved working side by side with Michelle, and sharing life stories. Thanks Michelle we hope you come back soon!

Our First Volunteer Day

On October 21st, over 20 members of the community joined us for our very first open house for volunteers. Friends rolled up their sleeves to help us paint, replace ceiling tiles, and create 100 peace doves. We are so grateful for all of you who came to help us improve our new studio home. Together we can do anything!

CONTACT Cape-Atlantic
MudGirls Studios proudly partnered with CONTACT Cape-Atlantic this holiday season to create beautiful ornaments in a joint fundraising effort. From their website, "CONTACT Cape-Atlantic offers a telephone reassurance program for anyone who is alone or feeling lonely. Clients receive a daily call at the same time every day." MudGirls created 200 of these unique ornaments! Special thanks to Patti Smith for coming up with this wonderful fundraising idea.

International Fair Trade Gift Fair
Missed us at WheatonArts? MudGirls Studios will have a booth at the 13th Annual International Fair Trade Gift Fair at the Stockton University Campus Center. Join us from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, November 19th. It's a great opportunity to purchase fair trade gifts for the holidays.

Holiday Open Studio

The holiday season is almost here and we can't wait to celebrate with you in our new studio! We are opening our doors for a holiday sale and invite you to purchase gifts with meaning. Come by to meet the MudGirls, enjoy refreshments and music! RSVP via email or on our facebook page! Invite your friends and family.

MudGirls Studios is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities in art and entrepreneurship to economically disadvantaged and at-risk women by providing training and skills to transition out of poverty and onto a pathway of self-sufficiency. Through the creation and sale of functional art and aesthetic utilitarian objects women will gain a source of long-term supplemental income.
