Dogwise Publishing is very pleased to announce the release of Biology of Dogs by Tim Lewis. We first got to know Tim, a Biology professor and dog fanatic, last year at the APDT Conference in Portland where he gave a very well-received presentation. Why was his talk so popular? It's because he brings a wealth of knowledge about the inner workings of dogs that most of us have never been exposed to. And he is the biology professor that you, once you read his book, will wish you had taken biology classes from in high school or college. His irreverent style of teaching makes learning not only fun, but it is very effective in making complex concepts understandable.

Once Tim got on board with us about publishing this book, we wanted to ensure that his writing style reflected his lectures, not that he really needed any convincing. And we are so happy with what he came up with - a series of "tours" through the various biological systems of the dog with an emphasis on material that dog trainers and enthusiasts should know. And so not only will you become an expert on the biology of dogs, you will gain new perspectives on subjects of interest to most of you - domestication, breeding/reproduction, behavior, movement, diet and health care, and more.

Tim as well as many other notable speakers are participating in APDT's virtual conference beginning on Wednesday October 21. Click here to see how you can participate if you are not already signed up to do so.
