Many dog trainers and other dog professionals are using social media like Facebook and Instagram to communicate with their clients and attract new ones. Blogging or writing newsletters is less common, perhaps because the idea of writing content on some sort of regular basis is intimidating. But if you have some facility with writing and lots of things to say here are some helpful resources.
Carol Bryant and Maggie Marton just published a new book called Pet Blogging for Love and Money. This book is filled with tips, checklists, plans, and templates to help you get started. While their book is designed for a wide range of pet bloggers there is lots of information that a busy dog trainer and dog professionals can use to communicate with clients.
You might get inspired by reading some blogs. Both authors of course are avid bloggers, Carol’s is fidoseofreality.com and Maggie's is OhMyDogBlog.com. While very few people have the knowledge base and writing ability that Patricia McConnell has, we know you will enjoy her blog, The Other End of the Leash.
