Sweet Unity!
Mission Flight partnered with Acts of Mercy (AOM) for our February 18-20 trip to San Quintin.   This was our first partnership with AOM and Sweet Unity describes how well the two teams blended together to serve at two different locations in the San Quintin area.

The dental team served 40 people, and the medical team served 85 people. Team members from the US consisted of 2 doctors, 3 nurses, 2 physician assistants, 1 mental health specialist, 1 nursing student, 1 pastor, 2 pilots, 1 translator, and 6 general volunteers. Team members from Mexico consisted of 1 nurse, 3 dentists, 1 student, a 6-member prayer team, a worship band, and numerous support staff from the 2 churches we worked with. Lives were changed as physical pain was relieved for many patients, and spiritual healing occurred through prayer. We also felt burdened for the physical and emotional pain we could not fix in our weekend clinic. Thank you to all our prayer partners, volunteers, and donors who made this clinic happen.

Medical Clinic in San Quintin
The Friday clinic was at Pastor Joel's church in San Quintin.  We finished setting up the clinic in the sanctuary. A pharmacy was set up inside the tent. Sheets hung from the walls to create 4 private "rooms" for the medical team to meet with patients. Backpacks were filled with a toy, a toothbrush, and toothpaste. Patients had been waiting since morning, and the clinic opened at 1 pm. It was a powerful time together!
Medical and Dental Clinic in Camalu
The Camalu clinic was set up inside a church worship center.  The pharmacy was on-stage.  A ping pong table was utilized by the dental team to keep their dental instruments readily available.  Sheets were utilized again to create 4 separate "rooms" for the medical team to meet with their patients.
Prayer and Praise
The church provided a solid prayer team from the local community, as well as worship music from an awesome youth band.
His Healing Hands
His Healing Hands joined us to set up an eye clinic at Pastor Joels church and in Camalu.  Jack and Jim piloted Mission Flights 401 Twin Cessna plane, carrying eye equipment and volunteers.  They also helped with eye tests and eye glass selections for anyone who needed glasses.
Connect and Serve
A 6th grade Sunday School class has adopted our next Connect and Serve, which is this Saturday, March 5. They will help wash a plane, learn how airplanes fly, and learn about being missionaries. A short flight around the area will also be offered to the class. Thank you to Dr. Kim, one of our volunteer dentists, who organized this event for his class. If you or your church group would like to adopt a Connect and Serve day, let us know, and we will schedule it.
