The joy of the Lord is my strength!
That verse is from Nehemiah 8:10 and it was the theme for the January 21-23 weekend clinic which focused primarily on construction projects. Family Community Church partnered with Mission Flight and provided an amazing construction crew to help with projects at the clinic.
Electrical Upgrades at the Clinic
A new and larger breaker/distribution box was installed outside the sanctuary.  The old wiring only had a capacity of 5 thousand watts, which was not enough to keep our dental equipment going all the time, resulting in frequent power losses during our clinics.  The new system has a capacity of 24 thousand watts.  Now, each of the four subpanels located throughout the church compound has 240 volts available.  Unless the utility company’s side fails, there will be no more lost power when we are running the autoclave and multiple electrical devices as part of our clinic!

Thank you, Armando, for designing the system, organizing the supply list, and leading this project.  And... a big shout-out to the construction crew that dug the trenches to lay over 200 feet of conduit!

The new electrical system took over a year in planning, engineers from private as well as the utility company were consulted.

New Storage Rooms at the Clinic
Two storage areas were constructed within the main sanctuary. Before we left, our dental equipment and supplies were moved out of the Sunday school rooms into the new storage rooms. Also, two restrooms were completed by installing interior walls and running electrical to them. Pastor Joel will finish up the rooms with a coat of paint.
Dr. Melec, a Rock Star Dentist!
Dr. Melec, our only dentist for this clinic, worked long hours to treat as many people as possible.  Angelina and Angela worked alongside him.
